So. I was contacted today by a nice fan of Fruitz. He told me that someone had been copying Fruitz. As Fruitz is a free game, that shouldn’t be an issue. I checked it out, and figured that a website called Jirbo.com had received a altered copy.
As Fruitz was programmed using Javascript, css, and HTML – porting it as a web app is pretty easy. So they did so; but without me knowing at all. Not even a email.
What had been done to Fruitz is simple. Any references to me, Fruitz, or my website had been removed.
I really don’t care if someone would have asked me if it would be ok to make a stripped down web app iPhone version from the original code; actually I’ve been asking around earlier for someone who would do that. But just taking my work and publishing it under your name, and making money out of it with adds, that’s just plain wrong in my book.
Give me your thoughts about this 
Update: Jirbo.com has apologized and removed the altered version from their website.
